Love it. Brian Selznik is amazing in the ability to combine illustrations with prose. In this story, the pictures depict a young deaf girl who is depressed staying at home, but runs to find her famous actress mother. And then we read about a young boy whose mother just died, then goes deaf in his only good ear from a lightning bolt. Despite the time difference between the two stories (the young girl set in the 1910's and the boy's in the current time period), they converge so seamlessly.
