Imagine walking through doors that lead to other worlds. Well, January has found those doors in the early 1900's. She is reeling from the death of her often traveling father and then decides to go and find him (because she believes that he isn't really dead) with the help of some friends. But she is also being pursued by the bad men. The ideas in this book are quite fun to read, but it really didn't start getting to that interesting point until about half way or longer through the book. I was a bit confused about the concept of how the doors worked, or what the other worlds were truly like since there were literally 10,000 options to explore (maybe less). This is one of those books where I felt like if I stuck with it after all the philosophical stuff happening, I would be glad I did because the book was good. I was right.
