I now have a dilemma. I am usually fine not reading series of books- just the first one. Seriously, rarely am I dying to know more. There are some I'm curious about, but other people's reviews take care of the essentials. But now, dag nabbit, I have to read the previous two. I want to know who Andy is (to be fair, I did read it years ago, but it's been so long I'm not sure that I remember anything). And there was a second one? Geez.
Lululemons (it took me awhile to figure out it was probably a reference to Lularoo. If it wasn't, I totally don't get it). I have to say I almost love the whole idiocy of the insanely rich who tend to think of the oddest things. And I completely appreciated the sane woman who just wanted to have a family and realized that she wanted to have a career. She loved her kids, didn't depend on nannies and au pairs. She, in fact, realized that it was a full time job to raise kids, and I guess that's why I truly loved her most. But she still wanted a job. And then there's the gorgeous model who has a desire to also be a mom but is devastated to it being ripped away. So, that was fun. And finally, Emily. She's a hoot. Totally not caring about anyone's opinion. Can I just say, I want to be her.
The three lives collide, and it's fun, it's silly, and it's also heart-rending at times. Perfect story for the beach. And dag nabbit, now I need to read #1 and #2. Thanks, Lauren. Thanks a lot.
