I read this book since other classes are reading it, and so I wanted to be able to give support to students. Dang, I loved this book. The concept of it really made me think. Would I be willing to be beautiful for the rest of my life, but have a picture of my true nature on the wall? Agreed- my painting would also be behind a curtain so no one would be able to see. But the mere concept of having your sins imagined on a picture really makes one think. And would it be worth it?
So many good things in the book. Who you keep friends with will influence you. Your reputation can precede you. Killing is wrong. All those thoughts that are common sense, but we see what happens when you don't follow common sense in this short book.
