I think I would have enjoyed Sharp Objects better if I hadn't first read Gone Girl. I enjoyed this book since the whole personality disorder thing always intrigues me. But I think for the most part I figured out the who-dun-it from pretty early on. Definitely would have been higher stars if I hadn't read her other book. There were some pretty good characters in this book, and I think I really appreciated the fact that not everyone ended up in a happy place; there were no pretty bows that tied up anyone's packages. But Gone Girl was so incredibly clever, that I was expecting the same caliber.
