How do you describe that a book about spontaneously combusting children and try to get across the fact that it's not about them spontaneously combusting? (don't worry- they are fine when they are on fire- just don't stand too close). The more important part of the book is what constitutes who a person is. Is it money? Is it prestige? Is it ability? All of these concepts and more are creatively addressed in the book about a young woman asked by a former high school roommate to watch her step children. The book club was a lively discussion; very interesting and though provoking. I will say that the end felt good- sometimes that's what we need in a book every once in a while.
