My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I will admit, it's been a few weeks since I've read this book and I can't really remember a whole lot of details about it, other than I remember it was somewhat repetitive. I did enjoy it- legal stuff, people dying, marital drama, etc. As far as what I would classify it?- probably psychological drama. There were lots of interesting factors in the book- based on a story about a woman and her daughter and their neighbors, and then the second part based 13 years later. The Italian mother and her daughter are being taken care of by a male "friend", and while they are "dancing", the young 6 or 7 year old girl stays with the neighbors- a young lawyer and her artist husband.
It's one of those books where if you explain what really happens and the nuances, you will probably give it away, but if you just explain the generic stuff, you won't capture the essence of the book. So I'll just say, it was a good solid 3 star mystery/psychological drama.
