Cozy mysteries are so much fun, aren't they? And this genre bending book is pretty fun and fits the bill perfectly. It combines the elements of the Gilded Age, the element of mystery, and a bit of another genre that I don't want to say for fear of giving something away. But just for a fun mystery, and a series to boot, you'll want to play along with the maid who is looking for her boss (and her secret crush), the cook who I loved, and some other mysterious players. At first I thought this was like a Rhys Bowen book, but it definitely has a different twist that is just plain fun.
