Amazing book, but not quite the kick to the gut like Long Way Down was. But still a wonderful look at all the different things that students (middle grade) are going through. I appreciated how there were the things teachers and bystanders look at first (the behavior) but it is more about the backgounds of kids. Why they do what they do. And usually we adults are so off the mark. Despite being a middle grade book, it would be poignant for middle and high school, and for 48 year olds. I teared up, but don't tell anyone. It may ruin my cold-hearted reputation.
