With Testaments just coming out, I felt it was important for me to read the first book of the unintended duology. I wasn't not impressed, but I guess I already knew enough about the book that I wasn't shocked like I probably would have been if I had read the book without knowing anything else about it. It's like a movie where the hype is so huge that your expectations are a bit unrealistic. And so it goes with this book. So this could have been a 5 star if nobody told me about it. Sorry, Margaret.
