Courtroom drama- did his father do it? Family drama- why did the brother move out? Baseball drama- what truly makes you a good sports hero. This book has it all. I was pulled in at the beginning, glued in the middle, and shocked at the ending. Braden's father is put in jail and is now on trial for running over a policman. It was foggy, so did he do it on purpose? Hmmm. Braden idolizes his father, who is also a superstar Christian talk host. But, even though Braden is 17, he still needs someone to look after him, so in comes his brother, Trey, who hasn't had any communication with his father or brother for 5 years. There is bitterness that Braden can't figure out. In the meantime, he is a star pitcher for his baseball team, dreaming of getting picked by a farm team. Alex is the policeman's close nephew, and is also on the opposing team. Despite having so much going on, including a love interest, it is an amazing book. I orginally marked this as 4 stars, but I think I just talked myself into rating it 5 stars.
