Ooh, this was creepy good. It is definitely science fiction because I can totally seeing it happen- not just in the future, but even today. So, a girl decides to be cryogenically frozen with her parents so that they can all go on the ship Godspeed to a "new Earth". But of course, it will take hundreds of years, so the people running the ship are multiple generations with farms on the ship, fields, certain jobs, etc. Well, she is woken earlier than she was supposed to, and eventually there are a few others who aren't so lucky to survive the premature waking process. So Amy and Elder (the one being trained by Eldest to be in charge) and a few other friends are on the hunt to determine who is committing the murders. I can honestly say even if you aren't into science fiction, you would like this book. I could be reading far more into it, but I feel like it just might have more of a social commentary on American society than some may be led to believe. Or maybe I just saw something that wasn't there. Read it, let's discuss, and then we move on to Blindness by Saramango. Yeah, I compared them. (granted, this one is YA, so keep that in mind).
