Saroo had an amazing life. And I'm glad he wrote about it. I also have to say that I truly enjoyed the book better than the movie, Lion. The book provided a good description of life in India- such as how a 5 year old could be lost. In fact, I was more amazed at how independent the kids were back then. So, that to say, I truly enjoyed the first part of the story. I even was intrigued with his adjustment to the Australian culture and a new family. Where I started to get annoyed is the redundancy of not knowing how to find his Indian family. I get it, there is a plethora of places he could have been from. The radius from the city was limitless. Got it. Enough said. Maybe he wanted the suspense of it all, but I was just annoyed. Glad he found his family, though. That was good.
