Listened to this with my daughter. I can't help but say that Linda Sue Park is one of my favorite people. I've never had the pleasure to meet her, but I've heard her many times through librarian conferences, We Need Diverse books, etc. And after seeing her so many times, when I reread this book, I have to say the book is even more poignant, knowing this is a passion of hers- not just to entertain, but to change the world from water in the Sudan to demonstrating all the different meanings of Buffalo. Sigh, read the book, try not to cry, and Linda, if you're out there, know that you are my hero!
