Thoroughly enjoyable discussion about how little we know about Shakespeare. And yet, Bill Bryson is able to keep my attention throughout the book with the content of theories that the plays were not really his plays, what could have played out in Shakespeare's life, and even how one sketch has determined our entire belief of many things 1400's from the stages and even what the great playwrite actually looks like. However, one of the things that really made me tune in was how many ways we are affected by Shakespeare by the phrases and words he practically invented. Interesting nuggets packed in my head, but there have been others I've enjoyed more by this author.
