Can I let you in on a secret? I don't really enjoy a lot of graphic novels. Some I do, but some it takes a long time for me to get into the flow of them. I think they are amazing, and there is so much work that goes into them, so I am not trying to downplay their literary value. I, however, had a hard time getting into this one until I realized that the girl was not a good superhero, but a villain who was a good person, who then became bad, yadda yadda. Once I finally started to understand, it was a cute book. But until then, I just read and looked at the awesome pictures. I would have this one in our library, so there is that. And I will book talk it with vigor and excitement. But personally, I will stick to the ones that are more simplistic or straightforward. Or I will read them in order (see the review of Stick and scones #2)
