It was interesting to read the non-Jason Reynolds version and then this one. It's not that the message or the content had changed, but more about the delivery. I listened to the book, because Jason Reynolds. In this audio book, he has such a passion and you can actually hear his facial expressions. But again, the book goes through a basic history of how slavery began, how it continued, and how it affects us still today. It also brings to light a different viewpoint or thinking about what a racist vs antiracist is. It is definitely thought provoking and helps me realize a little more empathetically how our country is not where it should be, yet.
