At first it was droll, but necessary. We meet Mitza, who is one of the few in the world at the time to be a female college student. She has some sort of limp, so she is under the impression that because she is now unmarriageable, she will be a physicist, which suits her fine because she loves it like a proper nerd should. (I say that with affection as I, too, am a proper nerd- but just about books). Then she meets Einstein, wild hair and all. He likes her, and the two go a courtin'. But then it starts getting good. It took a while, but once their love becomes unbridled, in a very non-graphic way, I started to really feel for poor Mitza. Let's just say towards the end of it, I don't think Mr. Einstein was really the nicest guy on the face of the earth. And I don't think I have to count that as a spoiler as it was based on their relationship and anyone with Wikipedia can see what I'm talking about. Let's just say, I'm glad to be living in this time period rather than the early 1900's, as my options are open for the most part to whatever I want them to be.
