I've always been a fan of Schwab, even to the point that I have followed her on Goodreads ever since I read Archived. Her enthusiasm and amazing ability to read 1000 books in 2 months makes me want to channel her literary prowess and write like she does. But until then, I just read her books. This book shows her ingenuity for a simple concept turned into a 3D experience. Addie LaRue, poor thing, has asked for freedom for eternity. And with no accountability because no one remembers you once they leave your sight, then you are free. But free from relationships and love. For 300 years Addie craved a relationship. But what makes her world so unique and fascinating is how she survives amongst the players involved in her multi-faceted worlds. And her boyfriend once he says those words, "I remember you." It was a story that relived history through Addie's eyes, the soul-taker who plays with her life, and the boy who unwittingly plays their game.
