I've always wanted to read a Rhys Bowen mystery. Now I can say I have, and may even read some more in the future when I cut down on my book-club habit. I thought for the most part it was good, clean, fun.
Molly Murphy has to leave Ireland in haste because she pushed a guy who was a bit pushy with her. He consequently hit his head on the table and died, so now she is worried she will be tried for murder (early 1900's, so yeah, she probably was right). So she absconded to America, and on the ship there was a murder which she needed to solve. It was a cute murder. I mean, cozy.
I think after reading Tea Rose by Jennifer Donnelly I enjoyed it more because I was in the mindset of Irish Americans. But then again, maybe I would have liked it just as much without reading the previous book. Who knows. Either way, It was fun.
