A murder story within a murder? Ooh, brilliant! First, let me tell you my disappointment. The "story" is an Agatha Christie-like book, which are some of my favorites. But the "dectective" is Atticus Pund. And I was first led to believe that there were other stories out there about him. Bummer- I was deceived. The books are only props for the overarching murder story.
Now for the non-disappointing review. A book editor reads the manuscript for a book, but it ultimately leads to a real murder, or at least, her investigation to the murder. The book was fairly clean, and I have a feeling had a lot of little easter eggs hidden throughout the book. (homages to other mystery writers, etc.) I read the book as an ebook, but the paperback actually has different pagination for each section. Cool.
After reading the book, I believe I will begin Fangirl-ing Anthony Horowitz. He was able to write three distinctively writing styles, and his plot was pretty mind blowing. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and will have to look for more. They just won't be Atticus Pund books, because they don't exist.
