Oooh, this book was crazy, psychological. You could just see the characters changing from bad to worse, particularly Lydia, the mother. I loved how you know who killed who at the very beginning of the book, and how it particularly wrecks everyone in the web of connections to the victim, Annie. The plot was keeping me up at night, as I had to find out what happened in both the mystery and the characters themselves.
I felt bad for so many of the characters who weren't necessarily a part of the murder, but were ultimately affected by the violence- Annie's sister Karen, Lydia's son Laurence, and even poor Bridget, Laurence's girlfriend. But more intriguing is the psychosis of the characters. Well written, well developed, and well executed down to the very end, where my mouth was agape at the last word. Definitely a book to have for those who love the psychological thrillers.
