This is your typical psycho thriller. I will say that I really wasn't all that surprised at any part of the book. The author did a very good job leaving clues that weren't obvious, but at the same time didn't give us a headache trying to figure out how everything pictured into the overall twist.
So, I don't know that I was surprised at really anything. I did enjoy that one of the twists came in the middle of the book when the perspective changed between the two women- first it was Amber who wanted to become the next Mrs. Parrish, and then Daphne, the current Mrs. Parrish who unwittingly became a friend Amber who had designs on her rich husband. It's a good beach read. Or rainy day read. Or book club read. It's a three star read.
