Definitely not Girl on the Train. I enjoyed the book in the end, but it sure took some getting into. A friend of mine from another book club has a journal she writes in to keep track of characters and thought in books. This would be a good book to do this with. A lady is found dead in the water, and her sister and daughter try to figure it out. And the list of possibilities is endless (or so it feels like in the book). It was an interesting read, but a so-so read. And to be completely honest, I wasn't all about the Girl on the Train, either. Not a beach read because your notes would get wet, but maybe a good rainy-day book. Ooh, they should rate books that way- where would you read the book to determine the type of book.
