This book read like a Melrose Place, or a 90210, so if you're into those shows, then you may appreciate this book. And, mind you, I've never read the Clique or any of those type of books, so maybe it's just the genre of "Mean Girls" that I'm not a fan of. That would be an interesting genre, though. Quick summary: poor girl accepted into mean/popular girl clique and then overcomes selfishness but must suffer backlash from said clique. There were some true moments here and there, but for the most part, it was predictable, and as far as I know, not all that accurate from what I've seen of high school. But I'm just a librarian, so it's not like the kids would share with me their dastardly deeds.
