I read the book a few years ago and re-read it for a book club for September. I don't think I enjoyed it as much. Maybe the mystery wasn't all there. No snap, crackle, or pop for what is going to happen next. I did enjoy remembering some of the things I had previously forgotten, such as why we say the Pledge of Allegiance every day (I kind of feel duped now that I know it was to beat out the Eiffel Tower World's Fair). And I enjoyed learning about all the different architecture endeavors that I had forgotten about. But let's be honest- the main reason most of us read the books is because we want to know about the serial killer. But I already knew, so it was just so-so for me. Great first read, though- and highly recommended.
