I'm not sure how I feel about this book. It has some very interesting features, such as the "understanding" between the demons and the club members who know about the demons. I also appreciated that Lady Helen was in emotional turmoil over whether or not she wanted to continue to in the Dark Days Club or be the stereotypical 1800's woman who simply lived for her husband. However, it isn't necessarily a trilogy I am dying to finish, but I'm not sure why. Like I said, it was interesting, some unique elements, and of course, some typical elements like girl finds out she has super powers and will be the savior of all. Hence, the 3 star. There are some fairly racy parts, so definitely would not suggest this to middle grade.
3/5 stars
