Halloween is the best time to read this book. It's a good book for any day of the year, but the best is October because it is about a couple of teens who are trying to prove themselves as brujex by accidentally conjuring up a ghost and working to put him back to where he belongs. All the while, a cousin has been murdered and they are also working to find out his killer and properly handle the death of him. In the midst of all this, there is also the quest for acceptance of the main character who is a trans young man. There were few surprises, but overall, it was a good book.
