My rating: 3 of 5 stars
The premise- just wow. A girl wants to be a doctor in the late 1800's, but because she is a she, cadavers must be secured by her and her alone to study the human body. Well, except she has help from a grave robber, with whom she falls in love with. Not only is it not appropriate during the time because of the difference of the social classes, but obviously grave robbing is just wrong on many different reasons. So while there is the exciting "will they be caught" moments and the hurrah moments for her increased success medically, the end was such a twist that it required a suspension of belief that just ruined it for me. But to be fair, 80 percent of the book was cool, hence the 3 stars.
